AB stands for Aurora Borealis. It is an iridescent coating that is put on top of normal, opaque resin/acrylic drills, showing different colors that seem to change when light reflects on them from different angles.
No color is guaranteed to stay in stock forever.? Some will be based on availability of our suppliers. We suggest that you buy enough drills at one purchase to complete your project.
PLEASE NOTE: Due to the nature of the AB process, some drills may be coated on the backside, and some bags may contain coating residue. Also, the color may vary in each production run. The DMC color number chart is universal, however dye lots may vary with every manufacturer; sometimes even different batches with the same manufacturer are different. Unfortunately, we have no control over these issues. Please use photo for reference, but know that computer monitors may distort the color. Thanks for your understanding in these matters.

I am so happy to find a place to buy SQUARE AB DRILLS!!! I was referred here by a friend online and then a YouTuber also mention the store so I came right over and was pleasantly surprised by the selection. I have purchased 4 bags of this. I use it wherever there is white areas to be highlighted, in waves cresting on the ocean, in the pinstripes of a suit, in the moon over the mountains. I’ve substituted the 5200s for 3865, 3866, and even 762. I am using these in EVERY painting. The luster is magnificent. Buy these!!!
